| Meet 22-year-old Amanda Richardson – crafter, animal-lover and duct tape artist. Duct tape? You bet! Amanda started to incorporate duct tape as an art medium in January 2007, when her sister, Sami, showed her how to make a duct tape rose – and Amanda ended up using all of her duct tape! Beyond roses, her duct tape artwork portfolio consists of everything from roses to corsets made from duct tape and sculptures for the Sixth-Annual Avon Heritage Duct Tape Festival, Avon, Ohio, over Father’s Day Weekend. Her favorite colors of duct tape include all the neon colors, especially Funky Flamingo™ (pink), and she never throws any duct tape away – she combines the scraps into a duct tape ball, which now weighs 25 pounds! A resident of Ohio, Amanda’s love of art also extends to other methods, including drawing, painting, sculpting miniature clay charms, customizing My Little Ponies and sewing. Prior to becoming a duct tape artist, Amanda worked at two animal hospitals and helped start the Avon Lake 4-H Club, having been a 4-H member for 10 years. |
I'm on Facebook now so please feel free to friend me!
I'm uploading all the pictures from my duct tape files on my computer so there could be a lot of new stuff that I didn't feel was artistic enough to make it on to this site. For now you'll have to search for me on FB via my e-mail theducktapebandit@yahoo.com or try me on DTB on Myspace
EDIT: Go here [link] to watch me on youtube.
